How to Install NeoStream on Fire Stick (Downloader Code 6000742)

NeoStream has its own app for Fire Stick and Android TV. You install it with the free Downloader app and one code, then sign in by scanning a QR code with your phone. This guide works on every Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube and Fire TV smart TV.

Step 1: Install Downloader

1. On the Fire Stick home screen, go to Find → Search.

2. Type Downloader and install the orange Downloader app (by AFTVnews). It's free.

Step 2: Allow Downloader to install apps

1. Open Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options.

2. No Developer options? Go to My Fire TV → About and click your device name 7 times. You'll see "You are now a developer".

3. Go back to Developer options, choose Install unknown apps, and turn it on for Downloader.

Step 3: Enter the code

1. Open Downloader. If it asks for access to files, press Allow.

2. Click the address box and type 6000742.

3. Press Go. The NeoStream app downloads, then press Install.

4. When it's done, press Open. You can also delete the downloaded file to save space; the app stays installed.

Step 4: Sign in with your phone

The app shows a QR code and a short code. Scan the QR code with your phone camera, or open the link on screen, and sign in with your email. The TV signs itself in a few seconds later. No passwords to type with the remote.

Step 5: Put NeoStream on your home screen

Press and hold the Home button, choose Apps, highlight NeoStream, press the menu button (☰) and choose Move to front.

Troubleshooting

Downloader says "Unknown source" or won't install

Check Step 2 again. Install unknown apps must be on for Downloader.

The code doesn't work

Make sure you typed 6000742 in Downloader's address box, not in the Fire Stick's own search. You can also go to neostream.pro/appdownload in Downloader's browser.

The app asks to update

Press Update. NeoStream updates itself, and new versions fix bugs and add features.
